The clients engaged Designer Leon House to create a sanctuary that was to blend into its natural surroundings.
It is with great honour that Makin Homes was able to be a part of our client’s amazing journey.
Set amongst the sand dunes of Mandurah, entry to this 1119 sqm 2 story, 3-bedroom concrete home is through a naturally faded timber cladded, 4.3m high x 2.4m wide door with a submarine helm as the entrance hardware. Every detail from the entry door to the cantilevered window seats was a collaboration of the designer, the owners, and Makin Homes to ensure that the initial brief was kept.
The beauty of this home lies within the design and execution of the construction. Every detail was to be visually simple, not complicated, or over designed. The ability to achieve this look and feel is a true credit to the passion and vision of Leon House and all persons involved.
The construction of this custom built home took a total of 2.5 years.
